Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on our Websites. When visiting our Websites, we maintain data on the Website Visitor’s activities on our servers within a session. This session is uniquely identifiable via a temporary session token. We store this session token in the session cookie.

We use both session ID cookies and/or persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our Websites. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser, and does not contain any personal information. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file. (For more information on cookies, click here: microsoft.com/info/cookies.mspx)

We set a persistent cookie to store your login id, so you don’t have to enter it more than once.

If you reject cookies, you may still use our Websites, but your ability to use some areas of our Websites may be limited.

Do Not Track

Some Internet browsers have begun to offer what often is referred to as “do not track” mechanisms for browser users to automatically signal privacy preferences to websites that they visit. Internet browsers have only begun to include these features relatively recently and there is not yet a consensus about what steps a website should take when it receives a do-not-track signal from a site visitor’s browser or what information collection or use restrictions should be applied when a do-not-track signal is received. As a result, our Websites do not currently respond to do-not-track-signals.

We do not authorize third parties, such as advertising networks, to collect personally identifiable information about an individual’s online activities over time and across different websites when the individual uses our service.

These cookies are essential to provide you with Services available through our Site and to enable you to use some of its features. Without these cookies, the Services that you have asked for cannot be provided, and we only use these cookies to provide you with those Services.

These cookies allow our Site to remember choices you make when you use our Site. The purpose of these cookies is to provide you with a more personal experience and to avoid you having to re-select your preferences every time you visit our Site.

These cookies collect information about traffic to our Site and about how individuals use our Site. The information gathered may include the types of information described above in the section titled “Information automatically collected.” We use this information to help operate our Site more efficiently, to gather broad demographic information, monitor the level of activity on our Site, and improve the Site. We use Google Analytics for this purpose. Google Analytics uses its own cookies. You can find out more information about Google Analytics cookies here and about how Google protects your data here. You can prevent the use of Google Analytics relating to your use of our Site by downloading and installing the browser plugin available here.

These cookies are used when you share information using a social media sharing button or “like” (or similar) button on our Site or you link your account or engage with our content on or through a social networking website such as Facebook or Twitter. The social network will record that you have done this. Social networks use their own cookies.

These cookies track your browsing habits to enable us and third-party advertising networks to deliver ads that may be of interest to you. These cookies use information about your browsing history to group you with other users who have similar interests or browsing behavior. Based on the cookies that the third-party advertising network sets on our Site and other sites, advertisers can display advertisements that may be relevant to your interests on our Site and while you are on third party websites. You can choose to disable cookies, as described below, or to opt out of the use of your browsing behavior for purposes of targeted advertising. For opt out instructions, please review the “Targeted online advertising” portion of the “Your Choices” section of this Privacy Statement.

Under certain US state laws, collection of data through third-party cookies for targeted advertising and similar purposes may be considered a “sale.” To opt-out of automated sales of Personal Information, please click here.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

If you have any questions about security on our Websites, you can send an email to us at privacyofficer@talentquest.com.

Our Websites are not directed at children under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect or receive Personal Information from them. In limited cases, Employers might use our Apps to collect and process personal information of children between the ages of 13 and 16, but only with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we may have inadvertently collected personal information from your child, please notify us immediately by sending an email to privacyofficer@talentquest.com.

International Data Transfers

We operate internationally, and as a result, may transfer personal information across international borders, including from the EEA and Canada to the United States for processing and storage and to India for processing depending on the Services you access. We are also required to process global privacy controls, which are opt-out preference signals initiated by the individual at the browser level. For more information about Global Privacy Controls, please visit here.

  • The right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where Company relied on your consent to process your Personal Information.

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Information

We rely on the following legal bases for processing your Personal Information:

  • Processing of your Personal Data based on your consent for such processing. You have the right to withdraw your consent, as further described below.
  • Processing of your Personal Data that you provide to us when you register for the Service or when you otherwise send inquiries about our Service and processing of this data is necessary to respond to or implement your request prior to entering into a contract with us or a data controller that is using our Services.
  • We use account-related data to set up accounts for users in the Service and to administer and support those accounts (such as usernames, email address and billing information), provide you with access to the Service, contact you regarding your use of the Services or to notify you of important changes to the Service. Such use is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and us.
  • We may send you information by email or through other electronic communications on our new products or services or other promotions if you consent to receiving them. If you have not opted-in to these marketing emails, we do this either because we are relying on an exception to opt-in requirements or because of our legitimate interest to promote the success of our business.
  • Our use of data relating to your use of the Site and/or the Service, described above, is necessary for our legitimate interests in understanding how the Site and the Service are being used by you, to improve your experience on it and our Service offerings.
  • We also have a legitimate interest in aggregating and/or anonymizing or de-identifying the information that we collect through our Site and/or the Service and using this information for our business purposes, as described above.
  • When we process your Personal Data for our legitimate interests, we make sure to consider and balance any potential impact on you, and your rights under data protection laws. Our legitimate business interests do not automatically override your interests – we will not use your Personal Data for activities where our interests are overridden by the impact on you, unless we have your consent for our processing activities or those activities are otherwise required or permitted by law. You have the right to object to processing that is based on our legitimate interests, as further described below.

Retention of Personal Information

Company will retain your Personal Information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice. We will retain and use your Personal Information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers or those of our third-party data storage providers.

Exercising Your Rights Under GDPR

If applicable, you may exercise any of your rights under the GDPR by submitting a verifiable data subject request to us by using the contact details below. You may make a request related to your Personal Information or on behalf of someone for which you have authorization. You must include your full name, email address, and attest to the fact that you are a citizen or resident of the EEA by including your country of citizenship or residence in your request. We may require you to confirm your identity and/or legal standing for the request as well as your residency in the EEA in order to obtain the information. We will respond to your request within 30 days or let you know if we need additional time.

Please note that we will ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests, and we may deny your request if we are unable to verify your identity or authority to make the request.

Should you wish to raise a concern about our use of your data (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local supervisory authority; however, we hope that we can assist with any queries or concerns you may have about our use of your Personal Information first by contacting us as follows:

Your Rights Under the UK GDPR

If you are based in the United Kingdom, the following provisions also apply:

UK GDPR means the Retained Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC.

If we share your personal data within Company or with third parties located outside the United Kingdom, we take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to guarantee the continued protection of your personal data, such as by entering into the international data transfer addendum to the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, adopted by the UK Government under section 119A of the Data Protection Act 2018.

You have the same data subject rights as those for the EU listed above, except that references to the “GDPR” should be read as references to the “UK GDPR” and complaints should be filed with the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office.
