TalentQuest Establishes Strategic Partnership with Skillter, Inc.
Startup hiring platform selects TalentQuest as exclusive provider of online assessments.
ATLANTA, June 11, 2010 - – TalentQuest, a human capital management and software solutions firm, today announced that it has entered into a strategic alliance with Skillter, Inc., a new hiring platform that will offer online tools to streamline the sourcing, filtering and interviewing of Generation Y job seekers.
Skillter is targeting young professionals – individuals between 18 and 30 years of age – in an effort to create the world’s first and largest pool of pre-qualified ‘Net Generation’ talent.
“Skillter was founded on the belief that a resume is merely a selling document and should not be used as the basis for making hiring decisions,” said Phil Noelting, Skillter’s founder and CEO. “This is especially true when it comes to Gen Y candidates who have limited experience but unlimited potential.”
“A critical component of Skillter’s solution is that every job seeker is required to complete a personality assessment, which is where we come in,” said Kevin Sessions, president of TalentQuest. “Rather than have the resume be the focus of the process, Skillter will focus more on attitude and cultural fit, using TalentQuest’s proprietary and proven assessment and profiling capabilities.”
Developing high-performing employees begins with selecting the best person for the position, the environment and the culture. Matching the right people with the right positions simply using subjective evaluations of qualifications from standard interview processes is difficult and inefficient, at best. TalentQuest’s solution for Skillter will enable job seekers to find positions for which they are the best possible fit. It will also enable hiring managers to quickly, cost-effectively and objectively evaluate a candidate’s suitability for a given position and organizational culture, then onboard and manage them appropriately.
“We met with a dozen firms that offer validated, professional assessments, searching for a long‐term partner that shared our vision of dramatically improving the effectiveness of the hiring process,” Noelting said. “TalentQuest was a perfect fit all around. In addition to sharing our vision, their assessments have been proven to be effective across hundreds of organizations. In addition, the team was more than willing to work with us to seamlessly integrate their assessments into our platform.”
“This partnership with Skillter marks the first time that TalentQuest assessment reports will be broadly offered to job seekers as well as hiring organizations,” Sessions said. “We are excited about the opportunity this partnership presents us to expand the impact of our assessments,” Sessions concluded.
“While there are several web-based hiring platforms available, none take the prescreening and filtering component to the level that Skillter does,” Noelting said. “Our approach allows job seekers to find jobs for which they are a good fit, and allows employers to create talent pools that meet their specific requirements. It’s a win-win solution!”
Skillter will launch its beta version with approximately 1,000 job seekers from its institutional partners in the fall of 2010 to hiring managers, and up to 10 corporate clients.
