Ellen M. Steinlauf

Ms. Steinlauf is an experienced consultant, entrepreneur, and business leader whose expertise has been used to successfully formulate and implement corporate business strategies for maximum market valuation. Throughout her 25 year career, Ms. Steinlauf has held executive level operating roles with top-tier financial services and consulting firms. Her depth of knowledge in technology, financial and professional services uniquely qualifies her to assist clients with implementing their growth strategies. Ellen partners with CEOs and Boards on implementing these growth strategies; whether raising the necessary investment capital as part of growth acceleration or through mergers or acquisitions. Her expertise in Mergers and Acquisitions, Business Strategy, Go-to-Market Strategy and Executive Search are combined to provide an integrated approach for middle market firms. Ellen consults with Private Equity and Venture Capital firms to identify and assess ‘industries of interest,’ target specific investments, conduct due diligence and close deals.

During her career, she has held various executive-level positions in investment banking organizations including Director - Morgan Stanley, where she managed global teams; VP -Goldman Sachs, London, where she ran technology throughout Europe for the firm; and as MD - Bankers Trust, where she was one of three executives managing the Retirement Services division. As an Associate Partner with the New York Financial Services practice of Accenture (Andersen Consulting), she established and grew a highly successful Northeastern Region Investment Management practice.

Ellen was Senior Vice President Strategy & Corporate Business Development for Capstar, a Learning solutions firm, which was ultimately sold to Thomson Corporation after consistent successful growth. Along with the CEO, she was responsible for the formulation of Capstar’s business plan, corporate business strategy, go-to-market approach, as well as for managing business development, sales and marketing.

Ellen earned an M.B.A. in Finance from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
