Ellen M. Steinlauf

Ellen is one of the few Executive Search professionals who has held a number of executive operating roles with premiere firms in the industry. Ms. Steinlauf has been called upon by firms with whom she advises on M&A and Strategy to also serve as an Executive Search and Organizational Development professional. In addition to being a member of TalentQuest’s Advisory Board, Ellen’s seasoned techniques and industry knowledge are successfully leveraged in TalentQuest’s Executive Search Practice.
Ms. Steinlauf has led the successful completion of many director and executive level search assignments. Her search experience, operating background and ability to identify and assess executive talent have collectively resulted in relationships with individuals at the highest executive levels nationwide.
Throughout her career, Ellen has held various executive-level positions in investment banking organizations including Director – Morgan Stanley, where she managed global teams; VP –Goldman Sachs, London, where she ran technology throughout Europe for the firm; and as MD – Bankers Trust, where she was one of three executives managing the Retirement Services division. As an Associate Partner with the New York Financial Services practice of Accenture (Andersen Consulting), she established and grew a highly successful Northeastern Region Investment Management practice.
Ellen earned an M.B.A. in Finance from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
