New Partnerships, Offices and Offerings Highlight 2008 Business Growth for TalentQuest
Human capital management firm also restructured executive team in response to increased business and talent management trends.
ATLANTA, January 5, 2009 - TalentQuest, a human capital management and software solutions firm, responded to increased business growth in 2008 by launching several strategic partnerships, opening new satellite offices and revamping its executive leadership team.
The firm saw significant new client growth in 2008 and expanded many existing client relationships. New clients spanned various industries and included Chubb, Duane Reade, Hyatt, Baker Donelson, Cbeyond, Express Oil Change, and TSYS, among others. Non-profit organizations continued as a focus for TalentQuest, with the additions of the Special Olympics and the United Way of Atlanta.
Another expansion element in 2008 was a focus on strategic partnerships. Each alliance was designed to align TalentQuest with companies that offer complimentary and value-added solutions, while extending the company's nationwide reach and service capabilities. In turn, partners benefit from leveraging comprehensive and integrated talent management solutions from a national talent and performance management firm.
New partnerships included Crystal Point Solutions, HR Strategies and Solutions, OnPoint Consulting, Pathway360 Consulting, Strategic Design for Learning, The Long View Partnership, WBA, Zay & Company International and Zwell International.
The company also extended its geographical scope, adding satellite offices in the Southeast U.S. to ensure greater flexibility and availability for clients. The regional offices are responsible for marketing & sales, business development and acting as local service providers. The new office in Tampa, Fla., is overseen by Dr. Gena Cox and the Birmingham, Ala., location is overseen by Dr. Kelly Shuck; both were named managing directors.
In response to client needs, TalentQuest broadened its scope of service offerings and software solutions. The firm introduced TQ for Financial Services, developed in conjunction with experts in Financial Services to provide tangible selection, measurement and development standards for key positions. Another new offering, Talent Management Alignment, ensures that the talent management functions within client organizations are tightly integrated into a unified and synergistic set of processes. In addition, TalentQuest improved the caliber of their organizational surveys and enhanced their "Developing Emerging Leaders" management training program.
In July, Chief Executive Officer Frank Merritt announced a restructuring of senior executives to reflect a company shift into client-driven and internally-focused components. Kevin Sessions was promoted to President and now leads sales and marketing, client development, external partnerships, growth strategies, and the delivery of TalentQuest's integrated solutions, while Steve Bush leads all internal components in his role as Chief Operating Officer. Additionally, Rachel Finglass was named Chief Relationships Officer, where she will focus on fostering close, service-directed client partnerships. Rick Brandt was appointed President, Consulting Services and is responsible for providing thought leadership and propriety content development, as well as keeping consultants across the organization updated and informed on new offerings and market trends.
In September, TalentQuest was selected for Inc. Magazine's 2008 Inc. 5000 list, its second honor in as many years. The annual list of American entrepreneurs ranked the firm among the nation's fastest-growing private companies, resulting from new service offerings, partnerships, webinars and speaking engagements.
"We are thankful to our clients for our continued growth and profitability in 2008," said CEO Merritt. "TalentQuest's blend of technology and consulting has brought great competitive advantage for our clients, and we'll continue to strengthen our client focus in 2009 while staying at the forefront of an ever-changing HR field."
